The northern division within the Hōko (Treasure Repository) at the Shōsō-in at Tōdaiji in Nara. Like the South Section, this section is built with the azekura (log-house) construction method. The North Section contains many objects used personally by Emperor Shōmu, which were donated by his wife, Empress Kōmyō, to the Great Buddha of Tōdaiji after his death.
