ムク(椋）(むく)muku
ニレ科の落葉喬木。本州中部以南の山野に生息。高さ二〇メートルに達する。材は工芸素材に適している。

(Lat.Aphananthe aspera) A deciduous tree in the elm family with white or green flowers. The leaves are abrasive and can be used for polishing. Found throughout East Asia.
