Hemp cloth
Hemp cloth
Cloth woven from fibers taken from the inner skin of the hemp stalk that have been slit into fine ribbons that were then spliced together to form a continuous thread. Hemp cloth was used to make bags, garments, and as an interfacing or inner stiffener in mats and box linings. See also Bast-fiber cloth.
